Dear Lawrence Academy Family and Friends,
One of the most important, and difficult, responsibilities of an independent school’s leadership and Board of Trustees is to determine the thoughts of the students and their families. Basically, those in leadership positions must find ways in which to “listen” to everyone, but in a controlled and thoughtful environment.
To that end independent schools conduct constituent surveys on a regular basis, normally every two or three years. These surveys are designed so that constituents have the opportunity to evaluate all areas within the school. Additionally, many such surveys provide opportunities for written responses in addition to the standard multiple choice selections.
Lawrence Academy has used surveys in the past, but those surveys have been limited in scope. Today, however, we are inviting you to participate in our constituent survey. We are asking students, parents, grandparents, faculty, staff, trustees, alumni, and friends to submit their thoughtful responses to our new survey. We want to hear from all of you!
This anonymous survey covers all areas of the school and its operations, thus it will take you about 10 – 20 minutes to complete it. Please take the time to thoughtfully consider each question, and please respond honestly. If you are unsure how to answer a question, please mark your answer as Don’t Know or No Opinion.
The survey is active beginning today and will remain active through June 15, 2016. Please feel free to share the link with anyone who has an interest in Lawrence Academy.
We will evaluate the data as it becomes available, and it is our goal to present our findings in the fall of 2016.
Thank you for taking the time to help us in this very important project, and Go Warriors!
Lawrence Academy Board of Trustees
